BMW…”The Ultimate Driving Machine” has returned to the Harlem Fine Arts Show

(Washington, DC Metro Area) – The Harlem Fine Arts Show (HFAS) announces BMW as Presenting
Sponsor for its Washington, DC Show to be held from June 14 to June 17, 2018. BMW, as one of the
“Driving Forces” behind this Harlem Fine Arts Show, will serve as host for Family Day and will
showcase four (4) models of the luxury brand, in front of the HFAS venue located at 101 Constitution Ave. Northwest, in the heart of the District of Columbia.

Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 10am – 3pm, is BMW Family Day for HFAS attendees. Kids, 12 and Under, can attend FREE and will have the opportunity to participate in a series of youth artistic activities. HFAS has enlisted the services of I-Wear by Raqui CEO/Designer, Raqui Rhodes. These young artists will be guided by Raqui as they design, create and embellish eyeglasses, which they will take home.

Their sponsorship to HFAS for cultural nutrition and celebrating the arts plays a crucial role in enabling us to share with the public the very finest of African-American art,” says Dion Clarke, founder of the Harlem Fine Arts Show. The attending public will have the opportunity to enjoy the Opening Night and three (3) Full Fantastic Days with over 80 artists and galleries of the African Diaspora featuring artists from South Africa, an Urban Art Xperience including legendary artists such as Fab 5 Freddy (of “Yo MTV Raps” fame) and pioneering Hip Hop persona DJ Jazzy Joyce who will display their work along with many Collectors favorites. As the largest traveling African Diasporic art show in the United States, HFAS prides itself in the ability to bring people of all backgrounds together to celebrate the fine arts; providing a platform for visionary artists to exhibit and sell their artwork. The addition of BMW as the presenting sponsor is a key component as the Harlem Fine Arts Show honors the past and embraces the now.

Thursday, June 14th Opening Night Reception hosted by Howard University Alumni Club of
Greater Washington DC, an uplifting evening connecting the healing powers of art and medicine,
Salute to African Americans in Medicine, a VIP Reception with Hors d’oeuvres, Live Music and
Complimentary Cocktails and Beverages.

Friday, June 15th Youth Empowerment Day 9am-1pm (open to selected schools) and an Evening
Happy Hour from 5pm – 8pm.

Saturday, June 16th in addition to BMW Family Day from 10am-3pm there will be an Evening
program from 6pm- 10pm the “Black Data Processing Association 40
th Anniversary Celebration”
which will Salute African Americans in Technology with a VIP Reception, Hors d’oeuvres, Live
Music and Complimentary Cocktails and Beverages.

Sunday, June 17th Featured Artists Panel and Discussion from Noon – 5pm.

The HFAS Art Exhibition is open to the public Friday-Saturday until 10pm and Sunday until 6pm for
viewing the Exquisite work of Each Artist Exhibiting and to purchase extraordinary pieces to add to their
fine arts collection.
