Eminem’s longtime producer Mr. Porter recently updated die-hards on the status of Em’s upcoming album, and apparently the project is already finished.
There have been whisperings of a new Eminem album for a while now, and we’ve all been eagerly waiting updates. Now, we have confirmation from longtime collaborator Mr. Porter that the Detroit rapper’s next album is finished.
During a recent live stream, Eminem’s hypeman and producer signed to his label Shady Records said, “Am I working on Eminem’s new album? No, we are done. How about that?”
While no official release date has been revealed, reports circulated in early August that Slim Shady’s ninth solo studio album will drop sometime in the fourth quarter of 2017. 2 Chainz confirmed he’s involved in the project in an interview with Shade 45, and Dr. Dre is producing at least one track on the new full-length according to The Defiant Ones director Allen Hughes.
Eminem’s last album was The Marshall Mathers LP 2 released in 2013. Speaking of his back catalogue, you’ll soon be able to buy stock in song royalties from the rapper released between 1999 and 2013.
