The 2018 Summer Events’ Series will take place every Saturday evening through September 8. Check https://www.nps.gov/fodu/planyourvisit/summer-theatre.htm for the release of upcoming performances.

Public transportation is the most convenient way to get to and from the Summer Event Series. Fort Dupont Park and its amphitheater can be reached by taking the southbound U2 or V7 buses from the Minnesota Avenue Metro Station to F Street SE, just outside the park. Accessible parking and limited general parking are available.

Filming or recording devices, alcohol, candles or incense, glass bottles and grills are prohibited in the park. All coolers and bags are subject to inspection at the entry points.

The Summer Event Series is accessible to people with disabilities. Sign language interpretation must be requested in advance.

Since 1972, Fort Dupont Park has welcomed a wide array of summer performances including go-go, jazz, blues, funk, classical orchestras, comedians and theatre. The National Park Service is proud to continue a tradition of offering free performances in this historic park.
