Nubia Filmworks, LLC produced a new gospel stage play entitled “THE HOME”. Written by Dr. John L. McCoy (Pastor of The Word of God Baptist Church), the play is the story of an average middle-class family’s courageous battle Alzheimer’s. Starring Tony award winning actress/recording artist Melba Moore, Radio One Personality Cheryl Jackson, gospel recording artist Charles Butler, Jr., WYCB-AM Radio Host/News Columnist Lyndia Grant and an all-star cast of veteran stage and film actors that includes Fred Strother, Sowande Tichawonna, Wanda Moody, Judy Leak, Annette James, Eli El, Nana Malaya, Kendall Turner, Maria Pugh and Barbara Fisher. THE HOME opens in the Washington, DC area on November 16th with two shows (2:00 pm and 7:00 pm) at the Bowie Performing Arts Center, 15200 Annapolis Rd.
